More good news! One of my Canal related pieces made it onto the front cover of a boating magazine! It is NABO News which stands for National Association of Boat Owners, they publish a magazine each month that has letters from boat owners, information about the canals (changes to fees, laws etc) and just general boating info and stories oh and a neat boat related crossword at the back!
They hold a competition each month where people can send photo's and the winner gets on the cover and a years subscription to NABO.
It's only a small magazine that is distributed free among the boating community which is surprisingly quite large, it is run by volunteers who have the interests of all boat owners at heart and keep them informed of any changes that might affect them.
Now as some of you may know, my parents are boaters themselves and live on a sixty foot long narrow boat called Sheherazade and they travel around the country and my image has won them a years subscription to NABO (because really, what was I going to do with it!) I'm just chuffed my image was selected and printed on the cover!
